So basically it's a deference thing. Not necessarily what he said but that he was told to do something and didn't listen. The Orioles clearly want MASN and any beat reporters to be run like state-owned media.

As is the case in so many respects, they should just look to the Ravens. The Ravens run a really tight ship. Harbaugh controls the press room and they have a slick social media presence, but it's not really coercive. A guy like LaCanfora spouts off, but he's the one who looks the fool in the end and not the organization because there's trust that the organization is playing it straight.

The Orioles will never get out of its own way with this family running the team.

I would not be surprised if the O’s go with their #1 pairing of KB and Palmer starting Wednesday in hopes to blow this whole thing over ASAP

It will be interesting to see what Palmer does. He cares about the Orioles perhaps more than anyone ever. On the one hand, he doesn't need to placate anyone and cares more about the franchise than the owners. But he might also feel it incumbent upon himself to help smooth things over. Either way, I trust that he'll do the right thing.

Has there been a more positive,  pro-Orioles person this year than Kevin Brown?

And what is the point of treating your viewers like idiots?  People know the Orioles have struggled lately - its no surprise and there is no point in trying to whitewash it.   Kevin pointed this out as a positive not a jab.  He was promoting the Orioles brand.  Angelos is the one detracting from a successful season and a bright future.

It’s really a mental struggle. You want so bad for Hyde, Elias and these players to have success and win…but you don’t want anything good to happen to ownership. You don’t want them handed a trophy and speaking for the organization.

Unfortunately (or luckily) I just assume that most sports team owners are scumbags.

If the O’s don’t win the AL, is it better if the Rangers do?
