I imagine the journalism community is rather tight-knit, and they're not going to let something like this slide, so they'll probably start digging the way reporters dug around and found out that Dan Snyder was a womanizing piece of work.

The problem is that John Angelos doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who actually does any work or shows up to anything unless there's a photo op involved, so they'll probably have trouble finding things.

Brad Brach already banged his wife.

John Angelos is a billionaire. There is no accountability. The only negative will be the press and we can only hope that his thin skin will let it bother him. I’m more annoyed at the whole distraction from the great season the actual team is having. I like Brown and all but I’d take him or leave him when weighed against actual baseball play. I can’t stand Angelos, but I love the Orioles so I deal with him and move along.

I think this is a safe bet.

I know the whole Angelos wife and Brad Brach is a meme right now here, but it seems like they have a connection through their wives; both of them are in the country music scene.  That doesn't rule out sordid details about their personal life, but, you know, they could just be friends.

There certainly won't be any repercussions from the fanbase, the only people with power to actually affect change.

So no, nothing will happen. They are actively trying to find the leaker, because that is what is most important. Who betrayed the regime, not the ridiculous action itself.

What if it's as simple as KB telling his wife what happened, or telling a friend? And that person going to a member of the media? That's really the ultimate plausible deniability scenario. The media sure as hell won't give up their source, so if it's someone close to KB, Angelos might be able to make an assumption, but will not have a shred of evidence.

The repercussions are bad press, losing valuable employees and having to overpay to get future employees because of nobody wanting to work for an insane psychopath otherwise.

Yes, those are possible consequences.  That’s about all though.  And there will always be talented, hungry announcers looking for a major league job who won’t be too picky.  But it could take years to find one as talented as Brown.

True but we should all just keep saying Brach banged her because it is funny and maybe it will piss Angelos off.

The current top search result when you google "John Angelos net worth":

John P. Angelos (born May 14, 1967) is the communist leader of the Baltimore Orioles, a position he has held since 2020, leading the club's front office and overseeing day-to-day business operations.

    • I think it’s like when our fans are terrified because a team brings up a spot starter from AAA and we fear they are going to turn into Cy Young.
    • “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.” — A Bartlett Giamatti https://mason.gmu.edu/~rmatz/giamatti.html

By any measure, Cowser is leading AL rookies in WAR, and it’s not that close. “

    • Every year at the end of the season, I feel a little melancholy. For me, the end of summer is not the start of school or the arrival of fall, but the end of baseball season. Today is the last day of a long song, and I will miss it. I know we have at least four more days, but those are in a different category, although I will miss that too when it ends. During the darkest days of the season, I posted frequently that the worst day of baseball is still baseball. When the Os played terrible, I would go focus on the Brewers or the A’s or Mariners(who were almost as frustrating as the Os) and follow along with former Orioles, rooting for all of them. That will all stop by tonight, and I will miss it until next February, when pitchers and catchers report. If I’m still here, I’ll be here.    Go Os…
    • We have to wait and see. But it shouldn’t matter as you have to beat whomever you play.
