Amazon just sent me an email telling me that I could "pre-order" Volume II of The Fielding Bible. No promise though, on when it would be shipped.

I would assume that it covers the years 2006-2008, since Volume I covered 2003-2005.

Actually, it probably doesn't make much sense to even look at the data before August or September, when the debates over who should get the gold gloves begin.

You get data going back three years, and daily updates for the current season starting in May.

And you also get access to all the other stuff on the site including articles by BJ and a bunch of other folks, and the question board where you can ask Bill anything that comes to mind. That's more than worth $3 a month to me. 20 years ago I was reading one of his annuals and he called journeyman AAAA guy (and briefly an Oriole) Butch Davis "Warm Front." For 20 years I wondered about where that nickname came from. A few weeks ago I asked Bill James. He said he made it up, because there was already a Storm Davis and a Chili Davis. Having access to stuff like that is priceless.
