Bullpen Struggles and Possible Changes

It has gotten that bad.  In fact I am not sure if I have ever seen such a bad bullpen on a contender as what the O's have. 

 

Next year Elias needs to shore that up as his first, second, and third priority. 

Step away from the ledge. We’ve lost 3/4. We Aight. The bullpen is not a cesspool. Just we play so many close games that it gets overworked. Every contender goes through this then that pare their down for the playoffs.

The bullpen is just one of those positions that requires constant tinkering and maneuvering to get through a 162 game season. 

Come Playoff time our pitching staff could be,

GR, Flaherty, Bradish, Means

Bautista, Cano, Wells, Kremer, Perez, Hall, Irvin, Gibson

Arms like Fuji, Webb, Baker, Vespi, Khreibel, etc… are just arms that are needed to get through 162. Maybe 1-2 of them will crack the postseason pen.

Bullpen has been pretty bad all year though other than Felix and Cano...and Cano looks done. 

 

Those other additions would help....assuming they pitch well.    DL Hall as well.

We’ve seen what Wells looks like out of the pen. I’d imagine Kremer would be pretty nasty too. We think of these guys as “young” still. They’re not vets, but they are experienced.

I guess the bullpen is fixed. Funny how not pitching Fuji in big spots will do that.
