Bedard said"

“I’m feeling pretty good,” the left-hander said. “I’ve been throwing since mid-December, and I’m up to 12 minutes three times a week.”

How far is he throwing?

“The length of my garage, which is about 72 feet,” Bedard said. “It’s minus 10 degrees outside.”

That is one big garage.

If you see the shots in the dugout with Bedard joking around and laughing with his teamates, you can see that he is not a bad guy and is not hated by the team. The guy likes to keep to himself and doesn't like the media. I get frustrated with it too, but there was a day and age when people could go out, do their job and keep to themselves. Now, if you sneeze in the wrong direction the media is all over it. I'm surprised more pro-sports players aren't the same way.

I hope he has a great season. If I were JZ, I would say "Do you want to play here or do you want to play for someone else ultimately? If you want to play for someone else, you really need to come out strong, stay healthy and give it your all. The better you do, the quicker we can trade you and make everyone happy. If you want to stay here, play hard, stay healthy and give it your all and we'll sign you to a large extension as soon as possible. Either way, play hard and it will work out for all of us in the end"

Bedard is a good pitcher and if he wants to leave and plays well, we can get a good package for him before the deadline. If he wants to stay and plays well, I could definitely see Z and him working out an extension. I believe it has been said that he wants to leave and so be it. Play hard and get traded to a winning team that will give us some prospects.

Very reasonable, and spot on. I never thought Erikkk was a jerk, just introverted. And WE all know what he can do if healthy and focused.

I like how the one poster said,"my sediments exactly!"

I always liked Bedard, and liked him more after the package he brought us. He's a lefty so I'm cautiously thinking he can put this injury bug behind him and pitch well into his late 30s.
