So Who Gets DFAed for Wiggy?

IMO, it seems like all this argument/discussion over Huff serves to support the theory as to why WE SHOULD be rushing out to sign Adam Dunn to a multi-year deal because at age 28, he should have 4-5 prime production years ahead of him.....:scratchchinhmm:
Great, let's get rid of Huff because of his marginal defensive attributes so that we can replace him with a substantially worse defensive player on a LT deal at a position that is not nearly among our top needs, and one where we know it would benefit to get Wieters, among others (Scott? Montanez? Even Salazar, who's off the 40 only because of his defensive shortcomings?), some at-bats there over the next several years if we don't want to run him into the ground at catcher.

Past bouts of inexcusable incompetance isn't really a good reason to extend a player.

I'm not sure what the "past bouts of inexcusable incompetance" (other than misspelling incompetence) refer to concerning Aubrey Huff, but the guy can hit. There isn't another player in the organization that can out-perform Huff @ 1B/DH, that's why it's good reason to extend him...Go O's!!!
