When someone declares the game over in the 4th inning in a game, they should probably avoid the game thread.

Maybe we need a separate pessimistic game thread.

It wasn't venting.  If you look at her history of posts in the game threads, she posts what she calls "reverse jinx" posts almost exclusively.  Her intent is to charm winning ways through the magic of posting the worst possible outcome.  It's not venting, it's a theme of her posts, and it's all meant to cheer the boys on, in  her own way.

If you'd been in the game threads earlier in the season, you might have seen that, I don't know.

But it's not venting.  It really is her best attempt at getting a good outcome, in a joking sorta way.

I'm in the game threads all the time. Posters are chicken little all the time, and there really was no distinction in that post compared to other chicken little posts.

Maybe we need a reverse jinx emoji

About a year ago this time a lot of people were saying the same thing.  Last year's team was considered an overachiever and we were bound to regress some.

And guess what?  We could match last year's win total in the next hour or so, and eclipse it in about 19 hours.

Yeah, I remember some comparing them to what the Giants did. Won over 100 games and then next year played .500 ball.
