I got our playoff tickets!  I selected WC Game 1, ALDS Game 2, and ALCS Game 1.

@foxfield, how'd you do???!!!   I got what I was looking for... 4 tix for ALDS #2 ($75 per in Section 61) 4 tix for ALCS #1 ($125 per in 352) 4 tix for WC #2 ($150 per in 242)

I live in Texas and will be at the away games if we have a series with the Ranger or Astros.  Probably just go with Stubhub. As much as I hate it, it is reliable as far as finding available tickets.

Crap I didn't even realize it when I was buying. I was looking at it as just game 3 and not realizing they were saying the 3rd home game of the series. Looks like I'm going to need to figure out how to cancel this purchase. :(

I'm pretty sure you can't get a refund, but you should have no problem at all selling the tickets and getting all your money back that way.

If it comes to it, I'm sure there will be plenty of users here willing to make you whole

Yep higher seed is home for games 1, 2, and 5

Game 1 on the site is Game 1 of the series 
Game 2 on teh site is Game 2 of the series
Game 3 on the site is Game 5 of the series (if necesssary, money refunded if not played)

If we were to lose the division, and win the wild card series:

Game 1 on the site is Game 3 of the series
Game 2 on the site is Game 4 of the series
Game 3 on the site is not played, your money is refunded

Before you go and cancel... you'll get your money back if there is no game 5 or if we lose the division and advance to the division series against Tampa.   And if we win the division and there IS a game 5, even if you can't make it, I'll bet you could sell the tickets for a profit.   So maybe you don't want to cancel.

Yeah I'm just an idiot. If it goes that far, I'll just go to the game. Just flaking and not realizing it wasn't on Monday 10/9 but Friday 10/13. If it doesn't go that far, my money will get refunded anyway.

I'm in 8 for ALDS game 1.   That's one of my favorite sections to site, used to have hangout nights there.

I'm in 3 for ALCS Game 1, the funkly little triangle section out by the RF foul pole to the right of the flag court.   I sat there earlier this year and liked that view.

Haha, yeah I'm just feeling dumb. Looking at all of those game 1, 2, 3 TBDs this morning and totally didn't read it right. It just changes my plans from coming to the area at the begginning of the week to the end of the week. The way we keep things close, it's probably a good enough chance that it goes 5.

I had to pretty much take whatever I could get today, I forgot and logged on late.  We have a really busy October so I didn't have many options for games to choose from.  I need the O's to win the division so they play the ALCS home game 1 on 10/15, if they aren't the higher seed I will have to sell the tickets we will be in Mexico the rest of the week.

I got the OPPS message all last night and this morning ( I'm 2024 FLEX). I got tickets to 1st WC game fine, then OOPS. I sent an email to Rep and this morning was told the system has a problem if the number of tickets you ask for is less than the number available in the Row-Section. I was asking for 2 but 3 were available together so no dice.

So I may have gone a bit overboard buying tickets during the public sale... I was trying to sell some for a game that I realized I can't attend, but just found out apparently you can't sell the tickets on seatgeek?  Has there been any communication of this, I couldn't find anything in the T&Cs other than some blanket statements saying the MLB reserves the right do do whatever they want lol.  I guess maybe I'm stuck with these tickets??

      I was at a meeting and came out to the Orioles down 1-0. I looked away for what seemed like a minute and it was 5-0, then 7-0. Do we know why Burnes was lifted after just 69 pitches after 5 innings? Was he hurt? Do we know why Cano was brought into the game in the 6th (Have to imagine his adrenaline may not have been as flowing at that stage of the game)?  Obviously the bullpen was pretty horrific last night, but could some of this be because Hyde was using guys who typically are late in game relievers in the 6th inning?

      Good point on the age.  I think it would have to be someone like Nate George from this year's draft just blowing up next year. The story would be how everyone missed on him because he played in a cold weather state.

      Elias needs to use better judgement when he dumpster dives, prepare better for the high percentage chance that his dumpster diving pickups will fail, and increase usage of other means to get pieces. Bullpen usage is another problem, but it’s hard to effectively juggle flaming torches. A wrong move burns badly

      I can see the case for Mountcastle based on defense alone, but what has Kjerstad done to warrant that kind of treatment? Is it the .505 OPS he’s put up since coming back? The overall .438 ML OPS since getting hit in the head? I’m as bummed as anyone that his season got derailed, but if you’re talking about where they are right now — he’s not your huckleberry. As for O’Hearn, he’s 8 for his last 23 (.348), with 3 doubles. That feels a little like the “getting himself together” that you referenced. He had an awful month-long slump, but he also has an extended track record (over 1.5 seasons) of excelling in the role he’s now back in, as the platoon LH 1B/DH guy. He had a 125 wRC+ in those 750 PAs as an Oriole until 8/20, which is roughly when Mountcastle went out.  I’d be good with Kjerstad DHing against LH starters, because there’s good reason to think he hits them better than O’Hearn. And if they want to play both O’Hearn and Kjerstad against some RHPs, in order to set up the potential of Mountcastle coming in to PH against a lefty reliever, I’m down for that too. But the primary alignment is going to (and should) be the Mountcastle/O’Hearn duo we’ve gotten accustomed to seeing.

      The Achilles heel for this team is going to be the unit that doesn't step up in the postseason. I can easily see scenarios where: the bullpen is hot and provides good performances but the offense sputters and isn't clutch the offense comes up big but the bullpen blows games late starting pitching tosses some clunkers (not really likely with Burnes and Eflin) and they can't recover the defense sucks and gives opponents extra outs to work with, blowing games open when the bullpen or SP would have been able to escape and continue We've seen all of these units falter at one point or another during this season.  We've also seen all of these units perform very well at different times throughout the season.  So, we'll see what turns out to be the Achilles heel for the Orioles in the playoffs starting next week.
