He got 4 fastballs in a row.  95,95,95, 94(boom).  Was a little surprised.  I guess folks are going to test him until he gets hot again.

Sounds like Rutschman sequencing sometimes. lol

Call him up

I think he needs a lengthy period of being hot.  The kind of streak where everyone is calling for his promotion and it's unfair that Holliday is still in AAA and he's not being challenged.  I would think the O's are monitoring how he handles things like high 90's fastballs and breaking pitches.  I would be surprised if he's up before the All Star break.

In the minor leagues, where this thread should be.

Why?  Views. Gotta root for the staff here.

Aguably, Holliday is our most realistic and debatable topic. I think Elias leaves him down for another 30-45 days. He should be facing 100 mph velocity inside with the pitching machine until he gets blisters. Well maybe not blisters. Don’t want him having to do the cure.

Since the thread is still here, I'll post it here. This is from Tides PR after tonight's game, a little recap of recent AAA work.

"In today's (6/1/24) loss, Jackson Holliday went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs...he extended his hitting streak to nine games, which ties a career long he set in 2023, while also extending his on base streak to 16 games...Holliday’s hitting streak is tied for the second-longest active streak in the International League, while his on-base streak is tied for seventh...since the start of his on-base streak on May 15 (Game 2) against Lehigh Valley, Holliday is batting .278 (17-for-61) with 18 runs, five doubles, three home runs, nine RBI and 15 walks."
