He looked like he really needed one that last game in Tampa, but then yesterday was the lefty so he started. Doesn't surprise me that it's his turn today.

Hyde really trying to get these Vets going against the guy with 8 ERA.

I think we're just seeing more of Hyde rotating guys, as you'd expect given the part of the calendar we're in.  Adley, Gunnar, Jordan, Colton all with these recent days off.  Double benefit of getting PT for guys like Hays and Urias, and a little rest during a brutal stretch for the mainstays.  I think he's handling it all pretty well.

Its pretty great that we have a lineup that is so solid, you can take any single player out of it on any given day, and not skip a beat (I'd argue Gunnar might be the one exception to that, but hey we won w/o him last night and he's likely to get the least days off anyway).

Hyde obviously has planned out the rest days for guys during this insane stretch of 30 games in 31 days or whatever. No big surprise. The goal is October.

Westburg went 3-5 with a double and triple three games ago. He’s 0-9 since. That’s hardly a slump that requires  hardly in a ‘reset’. It’s a rest day in the middle of a grueling stretch for a player that goes 110% on every play.  Can’t that just be enough reason?
