This is true but that said it’s out there they are looking for a RH OF. Makes sense so they can sit Cowser if they prefer down the stretch and in the playoffs. 
 

I still think Mayo makes a ton of sense as a RH DH option in September and October as well.

The question is who do you take off the roster to accommodate a platoon DH?

As it stands now, it would be Stowers

In September roster expands by 2. In October they can carry one fewer P. 
 

I think keep him playing full time thru August and then add him.

Find a trade partner for Urias. Bring up Norby or Mayo. Put Mateo in CF vs lefties.

If I'm bringing Mayo up as potential Post season RH bat they should move before the roster expands. Give him a chance to get acclimated.

I think you could make that argument but his work with the staff and managing the run game is also a part of the lineup.
