About Westburg being 8th. As I said, “I’d be disappointed if he was 8th”.

The 4 best/hottest hitters the last 7 days.

1. Cowser

2. Westburg

3. Mullins

4. Mountcastle

The 8th spot needs to be a righty and I don’t see Santander or Mounty batting there.

Hyde needs to get Gunnar out of the leadoff spot. Mullins against RHP or Cowser are better options until Holliday gets adjusted. Westburg also shouldn't be hitting 8th, as others have mentioned. And having a platoon hitter in your cleanup spot is something I'll never agree with. Hyde is awful at writing out lineups.

I’m good with that lineup or could move Cowser to 3 and everyone back one spot.

On paper, makes sense.  Within the clubhouse, IMO, that would be seen as unwarranted and disrespectful to Santander.

Also, Cowser is the hottest hitter on the team.  If that’s your rationale for moving Westburg up then why isn’t Cowser top 3?

If it is more respectful to bench him, I support that also.

I'm not sure how it could be considered unwarranted.

If it’s what have you done for me lately the lineup should be.

1 Mullins CF

2 Westburg 3B

3 Cowser LF

4 Mountcastle 1B

5 O’Hearn DH

6 Rutschman C

7 Henderson SS

8 Santander RF

9 Holliday 2B

P.S.  Santander has a track record of producing and currently leads the team in RBI and tied for the lead in homers.  He’s cold right now but still not a black hole (Boston!).  He’ll come around.

But if you want Hyde to go with the stats from the last 7 days just be consistent and drop Gunnar out of the first 4-5 spots.

As I said elsewhere, Gunnar isn’t chasing junk outside the zone and he is hitting the ball hard. Based on his approach at the plate, he should break out soon.

Nothing about Santander’s numbers point to him coming around. But his rate of RBI will certainly drop.
