I read earlier that 124 out of the 125 fastest pitches in AAA this year were Skenes. All I can help but think is his arm is gonna be mush one of these days.

He’s thrown 124 pitches?

Seems like the Pirates let him throw a couple innings once a month.

So trade for him and tell him to sit 98 instead of 100

Why do you feel every prospect will fail in the beginning no matter what?

Saying that, I'd give Norby a chance so if Holliday gets hot you can send him back. If Mayo comes up and tears it up, what do they do with Holliday?

To answer your first question - Because the odds say that almost all of them do. In today’s game it is a rare exception when they come up and succeed immediately.

Westburg has been wonderful at 3B, both with the glove and stick. There is absolutely no need to displace him. Especially considering there are legit concerns about Mayo’s defense.

If Norby comes to the show and can play a good 2B, that only adds to his trade value right? So if that is the route that Elias decides to go, I wouldn’t be mad at that.

It's an unbelievable arm, but there's some effort to that delivery. He just looks like a guy who will head to TJ sooner than later. If I'm the Pirates, I'm not wasting too many bullets in the minors.

I refuse to believe this is the stance and approach at plate that made Holliday the #1 prospect in baseball.  Tell me if I'm wrong.

He’s struggling right now and is in his head. He will get it sorted out sooner or later. He’s too talented not to.

Meanwhile the team keeps winning despite his struggles.
