Great post, thanks for providing this info.

This kind of comes across as "kinda 50/50", but there's enough success there to feel like Bradish could end up a success story, especially if the injury is as mild as I believe it is.

We'll see though. Thanks again for doing some digging.

As a baseball enthusiast including enjoying some of the mathy fantasy games, I got to meet some of the Baseball Forecaster principals during Arizona Fall League last year.    For their annual books, they have long compiled years of injury logs for the community of NFBC and roto players - one of them shared with me an anecdote that I believe Sig Mejdal had reached out to their organization to find out if a robust historical data set existed.

For everyone that's been saying we don't have a need to trade for a starter, this is why these many starter trade discussions are valid.

A starter may or may not be the #1 priority but it’s undoubtedly a need and it will be next year..so if you can address now, do it.

I don’t think anyone’s objected to getting another starter after Means and Wells went down for the year.

No IL for Bradish

Huge news. We may not be fully out of woods, but this indicates that they at least think there is a strong likelihood that he won’t need IL.

Can't say I'm too excited over hearing, "Not sure if he will pitch in the TB series" from Hyde. Pushing back a few days to get him in line pitch the 1st game in the TB and NY series made some sense. This, not so much.

I don't have a good feeling about this at all.

It certainly looks like Elias is in need of another really good starter. Now other teams know this too so the price just went up. Time to get to work for Elias.

I agree with this but it would be strange that we would see this crop up.  He wasn't great in his last start but the velocity was there.  I guess he could have had pain afterwards but it seems like this kind of thing usually manifests itself on the mound.

They did.

No they freaking didn’t. The last we heard from Hyde on this matter was:

Hyde knew exactly what kind of reaction that would cause.
