Watching the WBC last night, the U.S is down 2 runs in the 9th and I hear "Fernando Cabrera is warmed up and ready to come in if he's needed." An evil grin crosses my face. Sure enough, the bases get loaded and in he comes. A bases loaded walk, tehn he gets behind in the count on the next hitter and he allows the game-winning single. Not much has changed, except thank goodness he's wearing someone else's uniform.

I was following the gameday box score while doing some other things. But when FCab was called in I turned on the tube. The outcome was predictable. It look very familar.

I was wondering why Romero was not getting pulled. Then, I heard who was warming up. It's similiar to having Jim Brower closing for USA.

Romero looked a lot better. He missed a few close ones in my mind.

Overall it was a pretty good game (I saw fifth inning on). Roberts made at least one nice defensive play in the outfield grass. I haven't watched to the end of any other WBC games. I actually got into this one, so it was a lot more fun to watch.
