Signing FA's in the off-season is the way to go!  We have to give up too much in trades.  I'd rather give money instead of high level prospects.

Same and hopefully Rubenstein doesn't mind having to buy a few arms to bolster the pitching staff.

I think Rubenstein isn't afraid of a $250M payroll.

There is always on constant at the deadline and that is apparently the Rockies front office goes on vacation every late July.  You hear very few rumors of any players on their team and they never seem to make any moves and just hold on to guys preparing for another year of terrible baseball.

Do we tell the Rays they can have any prospect package in our system that doesn’t include the big 3?

You know what would be expensive poker at the final table - outbid NYY and HOU for the scarce Yandy Diaz resource for the AL playoffs.

One of the talking heads just wondered if Cashman would have to yield Dartmouth Ben Rice for the greater certainty of Yandy.

Only? We're first in the division. It appears a lot of people think a mediocre month of July where we'll play just under sub .500 ball is how this team is going to play going forward. I would not bet on that.

It was 12. Just saying.

They are still -20000 to make the playoffs so Vegas thinks they are a lock.

SD gave up their #3, 4, 6 & 29 preseason ranked prospect.  I think Snelling was ranked in top 100, not sure about Mazur.

Good trade for Miami. Glad Elias didn’t try to beat it.

De La Cruz to the Pirates. Marlins really are trading their entire team.

I'm surprised Roster Resource doesn't already have Connor Norby - Kyle Stowers 1-2 in their batting order.

Thrilled for those guys!
