Taj seems similar to Grayson. A notch below in prospect pedigree and more than a notch below in MLB performance so far. But I think we will be facing this guy a lot over the years.

Sternberg has a bit of a problem with the customary strategy of playing cities off against one another to get a new stadium paid for with public money. 

Other than the nonsense about a Montreal/Tampa spli team, Sternberg has expressed the most interest in Nashville. But a few years ago, Dave Stewart put together a mostly-minority ownership group for an expansion team in Nashville. Approving a move by the Rays to Nashville and ousting that group would not look good. (Maybe that's a reason to expect MLB to do it.)

Yes, I spend a lot of time in Nashville and they do want the Dave Stewart group to get an expansion team.  MLB wants to settle Tampa and the A’s situations and then expand by two cities.  Nashville seems to be a mortal lock for one of them.  However if Tampa doesn’t settle with some kind of ball park they will eventually turn their backs on them.
