Pitching was fine. 1-13 with RISP after going 1-9 yesterday. Not good enough.

Yes, 2 runs is not enough. The Mateo bunt attempt really affected the game.

Yeah I mean they let up 2 runs in the first 9 innings and had a golden chance to win it in the 10th with a hit at any point and couldn’t get it done. The BP still needs to be upgraded but you cannot blame the pitching tonight. They’ll be fine but that’s a game they should win.

I think this is right.  Our bullpen held Philly scoreless for four innings before extras.  Nothing wrong with our pen.  Philly’s did a little better tonight with the benefit of an off day Monday and one fewer inning to cover. Great game, someone had to win. Tonight it was them.   Tomorrow’s another day.

Cano’s walk to the .200 hitting #8 hitter, allowing the lineup to turn over was absolutely pathetic

Not sure what to make of Cano right now. He’s only throwing 5% more pitches out of the zone. And he’s getting nearly 3% more swings at pitches out of the zone. But somehow his BB% is up 6%. It doesn’t really seem to add up but his walks are becoming a problem.

Injury to Bradish, possibly season ending.  Losing a game in extra inning after a rain delay.  Bullpen looks thinner every day.  Only if a swift kick to the nuts is rated as fun.

Cano’s walk rate is up dramatically. Control was always a problem with him historically, until suddenly at the beginning of last year it wasn’t. 
His BB/9 rate was 1.6 all of last year.
This year (in a SSS) it’s 4.1.

Can’t believe they are favored -180 today. We will see about GRod….can see him getting lit up by the Phillies. And us scoring 3 or 4 runs like usual at home.
