The Colorado Rockies placed Joe Koshansky on waivers. Should the O's be interested?

He has to pass through every NL team first. But I suppose the Q you are asking is if he fell to us, would I take him. I really don't know where I would put him on our 25 man roster, but I may take a flyer on him anyway.

How can you "meh" a player like Koshansky? The guy would be the only legitimate 1B candidate we'd have in our system and yes that includes Scott Moore, who seems to be more apt at 3B. Koshanksy is also a better defender than Snyder at the position and has much more power.

We'd be lucky to get him, and if we can give a guy like Pie a shot, we certainly should be willing to give one to Koshanksy.

There is no willing to pay Colorado's price. He was placed on Irrevocable Outright Waivers. Claim him. If no NL team and Seattle claim him. He's an Oriole with what lloks like he still has 2 options left!

The Rockies wanted to keep him, but needed to remove him off of their 40-man roster. The claiming team can just add him to the 40-man roster and use an option to send him to the minors.
