Deep down, we all know that this team is not as good as its record. They aren't as good as last year. The offense is all or nothing, if they aren't hitting the long ball, they aren't scoring. The defense is spotty. And the pitching is too thin.

With all that said, they are in first place, with a chance to open up a big lead in the division, and they just can't take care of business against sub-.500 teams. It's very frustrating.

I'm so tired of the word "frustrating". Buck, the players, and the O's media used it for years and years when we sucked. It's all they could say, night in and night out as we got beaten by both good and bad teams. We need a different, fresh word that opens eyes and stirs emotions. "Frustrating" is like saying "Hi, how ya doin'?" "Good." -- it has no effect. It's numb.

Not sure why you don’t think they are as good as last year?  This team is better than the one we ended the year with.

Bro we have the best OPS and 2nd best ERA in the AL. We're not perfect and there are areas for improvement but let's not stray too far in the other direction. This is a good team and I would say definitely better than last year. Burnes wasn't here, Gunnar wasn't this good, and Westburg wasn't this good just to name a few highlights.

The record is what it is.  They've won the games they've won, and lost the games they've lost.  That's sport.

We are as good as our record and saying we aren't is alarmist.  The season has ebbs and floes and we're along for the ride.

If you're accepting we're going to lose to the Cubbie's, I guess that is your - and anyone else's prerogative.  It's the 3rd inning.
