Penn traded to the Marlins for IF Robert Andino

The Orioles appear ready to announce that they've traded Hayden Penn to the Marlins for infielder Robert Andino.

That's the word on the Fort Lauderdale streets.

Schmuck says yes. BaseballReference has him mostly at SS with a few games at 2B. Maybe that explains Trembley's conversations with Jolbert Cabrera and Chris Gomez today. It implies he's our utility guy.

Freel can't play SS. Tried, but can't. What this does do is tell us that it will be a 12-man staff in all probability. Hopefully at some point they dump Freel and bring up Montanez as the RH platoon for Pie.
