DCab walked his first batter on 4 pitches then got a strike out and forced HRam into grounding into DP.

DCab's first AB: struck out on 3 pitches and didn't hit the ball. Volstad threw him 2 curves...that's just not fair.

2nd inning: 1K, 1BB, 1H, and 1 wild pitch...no runs though as worked out of a 1 out jam with runners on 2nd and 3rd. So far he has 2K/2BB and is working 92-93 mph FB...33 pitches/19 strikes

Yeah if he can get back to having the nasty slider he had in '05 and '06 then I think he can probably be better than just a #5.

I don't ever think he'll walk less then 4.5-5 per 9, but he can get away with that if he can start striking out 8-9.5 per 9 innings again.

Yeah, I am just looking at the Pitch f/x feed. Looks like he is mainly throwing his 4 seamer and mixing in his slider.

Typical Dcab luck... on the stolen base attempt the catcher throws the ball into the outfield allowing the runner to go to 3rd... then a soft single drives in a run.

Just amazing how a MLB pitcher can throw 66% of his pitches as four seamers. Crazy. P fx is putting him at 92 and spiking up to 94 with his 4 seamer.

I was looking through scores today and saw Cabrera made his first start for the nats and see he was cruising with 1 run going into the 5th then the gates opened with 4 in the 5th. I hated last years Daniel and could not stand him walking people but im sorry i would still take him over Eaton or Hendrickson. hitting 94 not bad
