Probably didn't want to put too much of a load on his arm considering we will need him for the Wild Card series very soon. It's an answer to Roy's question and they probably want to start him on short rest.

I guess now we should believe a little more when Burnes was saying he wasn't going for strikeouts earlier in the year.

Coming into this game Santander has a career .148 AVG and a .208 OBP against Cole in 27 ABs.  O'Hearn has even worse numbers but he at least as hit a HR off of him.
