Cano and Cionel do need to be ready almost any inning as long as the rest of their season lasts.

Look, he took Burnes out with 69 pitches. I don’t think he was exactly managing to win. Maybe matching up and hoping to scrape by, but this wasn’t managing to win.

Let’s be real. The only way this team advances in the playoffs is if they hit like the last 2 nights. They won’t win any close games because the bullpen is garbage. I didn’t expect much tonight because we never hit Cole.

His bullpen management has been stupid all season, but it doesn’t help that he doesn’t have a very good pen to begin with.
