Great pitch by BB on 2-2 to strike out Mauer. That showed me something.

Of course, Morneau almost hit it out.

There were 4 lefties in that inning and three of them hit the crap out of the ball. The 4th guy swung as a ball for the strike out, but he hit two BBs up the middle in his first two at bats.

Which is why they wanted to leave him in AAA to work on this very problem getting lefties out.

If I were Trembley, I think I'd get someone warming up. The Twins have hit some balls hard against Bergesen, and they could put a rally together. But nobody's up in the bullpen.

Let the record show that I posted this before the back-to-back hits to start the inning.

Despite the low pitch count, I think Punto here is the last guy Bergesen will face.

He's been getting knocked around despite limiting the runs, 11 hits already, and the top of the order is a combined 5-9 against him tonight.

Moyer gave up 7 ER in 2 IP tonight. His ERA is now 7.26 with this game log:

Who'd have thunk Moyer was about done at 45 years old after looking at his game log last year? Didn't someone here think we should sign him? bizarro endorsement anyone? ;)

Our signing him would be a bit late.....10 years late.
