5/16 - O's at Royals: Hill's Debut

Rich Hill is like a CAT.

Heck, he even fields the position. I am pleased.

He wasn't throwing strikes in the minors, and he hasn't been throwing strikes tonight. Hopefully he'll improve over time.

I don't think he's going to improve his control. I do think he knows how to use what he has to get guys out regardless.

He is missing either way inside with his fastball or high and outside it seems so far. The Royals hitters this inning have helped keep is pitch count down so far with the bunt attempt and popping up the 2-0 pitch to LF.

Great 3rd inning. Bottom 3rd of their order up and he only uses 9 pitches to retire the side. That's the kind of efficiency we need.

Ya I went there years ago and it was meh. But it really looks great right now. The changes they did really improved the look and feel with the fans in front of the fountains.

I'm not that impressed with Rich Hill but I was expecting sandy Koufax ca.1965.

I think he looks like our second best starter.

Mora is not running well. It almost looked like he was content to stop with a single until that ball got stuck on the wall.
