Tigers Pitching...

Is unbelieveable. They might go a long ways, with even the possibility of winning it all if everyone stays healthy. There starters are incredible and there bullpen throws straight heat as well. Watch out for that team come September if there arms stay healthy.

They could use another hitter in the middle of their order, no wonder they were scouting Scott. Their pitching is very tough.

An very interesting team. They look like they have the arms to get to the World Series like they did in '06, but everyone's right: they need another bat or two to be a serious threat to go all the way.

Baltimore management needs to get some of Detroit's Front Office to show the Orioles how to become a factor in the AL East again. Remember, the Tigers lost 119 games back in '03, and 3 years later won the AL Pennant.

I think the Orioles FO is doing exactly what the Tigers did. Stockpiling pitching.

Good Thread. As a whole when ever the Orioles lose the board blames the players, managers, coaches etc. the other team gets very little credit. The last two games, the credit goes to the Tigers. The pitches they have are good. In addition they overpower you. We got pitched to.

I was sitting behind home plate today - great seats to watch our pitching, and theirs. Sitting with "Stan the Fan" and some of his friends, nice guy.

Jackson really looked tough. He maximized his fast ball which sits at the mid 90's with a nice slider and changeup. He really had our guys swinging ahead of the pitch, who never timed the guy properly. They would sit dead red and he'd toss the changeup or slider. And then he would pound the zone with that heater. We never really got deep into his count.

Tigers have great pitching with Verlander and Jackson and it's easy to see why they're leading their division.

You're right on that. I just meant that maybe the O's Front Office should pick the minds of teams like Tampa Bay and Detroit, two teams that have sucked for a very long time, and both went to the World Series within the last 2-3 years.

I think the O's are close. But, it wouldn't hurt to get pointers from teams that have struggled just like Baltimore has.
