Automatically giving it to Greinke, even before tonight, is a mistake IMO.

I still think Halladay is the best pitcher in the AL and he's winning games on a pretty mediocre team.

Toronto is 5 games over. Their offense is one of the best in the AL. Lead the league in: hits, doubles, average, and are Top 5 in everything else.

Obviously you back Greinke and I'd be a fool to argue with that choice. I just want people to remember that there are almost four months left in the season.

I was referring to your comments about Toronto being mediocre, not anything about Greinke.

You don't automatically give it to him, but even with the outing last night, the Cy Young is his to lose.

Other than his ERA, his numbers aren't all that impressive.

He is 4-2.

4th in ERA, 5th in WHIP, 8th in H/9, 5th in SO/9, 10th in SO (missed a start), 9th in SO/BB, and 4th in ERA+.

I believe Bedard is going to end up in the top 3 by the end of the season.

His Wins total is not going to help him, unfortunately, but most damaging to his chances is that it's very likely he won't end the season in the AL... :P
