If I had to guess, probaly around a hundred. He had some deep counts 2nd thru 4th innings mostly due to his fastball command

He may very well be better than any pitcher in our rotation right now.

This has been a given all along. Tillman, Arrieta, and Matusz have been the best three pitchers in the entire organization since last years draft. No one in the current O's staff can hold a candle to the big three.

Because it's considered an error on the catcher even though it's not listed as an error. And why is a wild pitch considered an earned run??

Because it is primarily an action of the pitcher--he is responsible. Same with a balk.

However, a fielding error by the pitcher has the same effect as an error by anyone else.

Sorry for posting in two threads. Its easier to stay in one when on my phone. I was surprized at how Matusz slows the first half of his delivery with runners on. Still quick to the plate but not rushe

Struck out 10 and only averaged about 15 pitches per inning?

Just goes to show that its not the K's that up the pitch count...its the walks and hits that do it.
