Just coming back from getting $300 worth of fireworks from PA, and I saw the awesome throw by Wieters. How did Hernandez look? Nice to see Huff with a HR and Jones and Markakis break out a bit.

It sure seems like that .300 average is pretty hollow. I don't remember the last time he had an extra base hit or an RBI (I think the last one came in Philly).

He's definitely riding the hot streak he had in the beginning of the year. His last month or so is more like the Adam Jones we saw last year. He'll end up in between the two.

Yeah, Jones had a HR a while back against Philly I think, and a couple doubles. However, he has looked bad the last month or so in the power and defense department.

I know. Maybe we should move Jones to 3B, Markakis to 1B, Guthrie to CF (he has wheels, man), and we can re-acquire Loewen to DH. Luke could move to the bullpen and, with his additional arm strength, could serve as a 7th-inning guy who throws a nasty splitter we'd call the Woodchopper. :clap3: Make all that happen, AM!
