The Skanks are digging in. Time to buzz the tower.
ESPN says that Burnett threw 8 pitches in the 1st inning.

EIGHT!!!! Considering that Brob struck out on what i presume was more than 3 pitches.........and AJ got a hit.......

how is that possible? someone please tell me espn can't count........

Nope. He threw 5 to brob 1 to jones 1 to markakis and 1 to huff

Can someone describe the infield single?

It was a slow bouncer just over Berken's glove that B-Rob charged. B-Rob went to pick it up and throw and it hit the heel of his glove and bounced off to the left. Hard to say if he would've gotten Cano or not, but he may have also expected Berken to have gotten to it originally cause it didn't seem like he got to the ball very quickly.

Can someone describe the infield single?

Slow chopper past Berken (who really had a chance to get it), Roberts playing back, tried to barehand it, and missed the ball basically. It was a tough, but makeable play. It cost us two runs seeing as Swisher drove two in after that.
