Even if those guys are AAA filler, the trade is a success.

Moore looks like more than orgizational filler, he's only 23 and he played in the futures game in 2005, was also named an AFL rising star last year. This looks like a great trade for us IMO.

Well we say good-bye to the guy that we were told over and over again was going to kill our team. Guess what, he wasn't that bad. Thanks for the good service as a #5 Mr. Traschel. Good luck in the playoffs.

I am glad to see the kids get a shot and the Moore kid looks pretty good.

Cherry is 28 years old; he's just bullpen cannon fodder at this point. But Moore looks like at least a B-/C+ kind of prospect, with some power and patience (and some holes in his swing). The O's should give him an extended look at 3B in September; he might make Mora expendable.

This is a decent return for Trachsel in my opinion.

I would have took Moore by himself for Trax. Kid is having a solid year with some good power.

2007 Season Team League AVG G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG OPS IOW PCL .265 103 321 61 85 19 4 19 69 169 48 100 4 3 .373 .526 .899 Minors .265 103 321 61 85 19 4 19 69 169 48 100 4 3 .373 .526 .899 MLB .000 2 5 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 0 0 .000 .000 .000

He also has a 1.000 OPS vs. righties little rough vs. lefties.

Rated #7 prospect in Cubs organization by baseball america.

Agreed, Moore looks like a guy who could contribute at some point. I guess with Aramis Ramirez wrapped up for a while, Moore was a luxury for the Cubs.
