Day #2 Draft Thread

Here a tidbit from BA on Conklin:

Conklin has shown a fastball up to 93 mph from a low three-quarters arm slot but is much more hittable because he doesn't have a second pitch. His frisbee slider lacks depth and consistency.

Conklin looks like a draft and follow type player. Hopefully he can develop a 2nd pitch to complement his 93 mph fastball.

Rated the 6th best prospect in Kentucky. Here's the skinny:

Tyler Blandford's stuff is more electric than Tilford's and Adcock's (other HS prospects in Kentucky), but he comes with makeup concerns and a violent delivery. His fastball has been up to 94 mph, and he can spin a hard slider that at times grades as an above-average offering. He throws across his body and doesn't properly incorporate his lower half in his delivery.

Interesting pick.
