Did he really have a double-double against THE Winston-Salem University? OMG!!! I don't know how he ever scored when he was covered by guys like Andrew "Not the President" Jackson. Don't I feel foolish. They shouldn't just hang his jersey in the rafters, they should rename the arena. I think one of the biggest problems with GV is he's too concerned with telling the haters to stfu as you so eloquently wrote, and not concerned enough with making the team better.

Yeah, Gregory looked (and played) like he had just taken all of his finals after 5 straight all-nighters. Williams has developed to the point that he should be playing 30 plus minutes a game from now on.

Vasquez is a nice player... who has been surrounded by a lot of mediocre players... someone has to score!

I don't seem him as worthy of hanging the jersey up in the rafters, however, he's just not quite there. Much like Strawberry. Decent, but not a dagger. His biggest benefit is his height in relation to his position... but look at how he looked against a truly athletic Memphis team. It wasn't pretty and his lack of speed and quickness really showed.

I like him as a player, not trying to dump on the guy... but I don't think he's a star. In the end, he will go down as a good player in a really weak UMD Men's basketball era. I mean: WEAK.

If he helps MD win first place in the ACC, or helps them win the ACC tourney...or MD makes it past the sweet 16, there is a good chance he goes up there.

At this point I think it is less about stats totals and more about how well he leads this team in his senior year.

MD has 4 guys who are averaging more than 10 pts and Vasquez is averaging almost 18. In years past he's been surrounded by mediocre players but this year the Terps may finally have something.

Vasquez is the only player in ACC history to record 2000+ points, 700+ Assists and 600+ Rebounds.
