Komminsk on Bowie pitchers

Has anyone started the Josh Perrault bandwagon yet? I think he's a darkhouse to make the opening day roster.

Could be. Kinda makes me think of slow and steady wins the race. Doesn't have overwhelming stuff, but uses it well, and pitches effectively. I wouldn't have a big problem sticking him in the pen.

I was hoping for some comments on Erbe from you. Again, the "high effort" delivery is brought up. You saw him this year. Do you consider his delivery to be "high effort"?

He's changed his delivery a lot over the past season and a half. They almost completely rebuilt it last season. He stands on the very edge of the rubber towards first base and still leans that way a little bit on his release, but no where near as bad as it used to be. I didn't notice the hop much if at all really but I did see him get a little long in his stride here and there, usually when he's pitching from the stretch with runners on.

I mean Brad isnt going to say anyone stinks. But lets be honest, have you ever heard this kind of excitement for so many guys that FEW are counting on anytime soon? I mean, Lebron and Erbe alone, if they pitch like Brad says they can..whew..we might be allright after all.

By the way, I though Lebron was going to the Knicks.

My understanding is that Komminsk doesn't blow smoke. He certainly didn't sugarcoat Bascom's abilities or some of the hitters he discussed last week. So, yeah, when he talks I listen.

I'm excited to see more of Lebron this spring.

I really don't care if Erbe ends up as a starter or in the pen, just so long as he's a very good pitcher in whatever role he lands in. I think we have the makings of a nasty bullpen over the next 3-4 years due to the competition for spots in the rotation.

By the way, seeing Komminsk's remarks makes me hope we get Steve Johnson back.
