Pirates sign Dotel

Pirates sign Dotel to be their closer for $3 million. Looks like the projected bullpen I put forward in my report earlier this offseason was a little off. The pirates have added Dotel, Donnelly, D.J. Carrasco, and the enigma that is Javier Lopez to their pen for only $6 million.

Now I know some of these guys will be busts, but you have to admire the ability to rehaul the bullpen for the same price the O's paid Baez last year.

Besides, they have Brian Bass, and Brian Burres waiting in the wings on minor league deals....how can you go wrong.
