Well, you know going into every season you're going to get several games like this out of Maryland. It's best just to accept it and move on. And it's at Duke, so that's certainly not a game you expect to win, which makes it easier. They have to put this behind them quickly, because the Virginia game in two days is huge. The Terps should easily claim a tournament spot if they just win out at home. Start losing at Comcast and it gets dicey.

It's the same thing that happened at Clemson. How can they not be prepared for it? Frustrating, but I think you're right.

They're just nowhere near the same team on the road as they are at home. And when Grevis doesn't show up to play, neither does the rest of the team.

That's your difference...if they just hit 2 of those, its a 10 point game.

And three is closer to the season average. So that would make it a seven-point game at the half against the #8 team at their arena. I think most would take that.

We're getting a lot of inside points compared to Duke, so if the Terps can come out, hit some threes and not let Duke get on real runs like in the first half, this team isn't dead. On life support, but not dead.

After this game, MD has like 3 games in 6 days? Is that right?

Including today they will have played 4 games in 8 days.

They will beat UVA with very little problem IMO.

Its the other 2 games that could really give them problems.

If they can win 2 of those 3 games, they are in great shape for the tourney...if they lose 2 of them, they are still likely in but it gets dicier and they need to win some key games down the stretch.

MD does need to win the first 5 minutes of the half.

They could get this lead down to 8-10 relatively quickly..If they do that, they can be right there down the stretch.

This is right. Duke is playing good defense against the Terps - granted, they've been given a lot of leeway, but they've done a good job.

And Hayes starts the 2nd half like he ended the 1st.
