I really do wish him well, but man, I'm so glad he's no longer struggling with the O's.

It was just plain painful to watch him throw....notice how I didn't say pitch.

He sure looked like a pitcher in the early part of 2008. Several excellent games in a row, including this one that I saw in Kansas City.

I happened to snag a great pair of seats at the rail, beside the dugout, excellent perspective to watch him work. It was a commanding performance. He kept pounding a Scott Erickson-quality two-seamer down in the zone, and he closed out the game by punching out Gordon and Butler with 95- and 96-MPH FBs on the fists. It was one of several good games that he pitched in late April and early May. But the wheels came off the cart in late May and he has never pitched well since.

I've wondered whether he tried to pitch through a minor injury, because for a while there, he really looked as if he had turned a corner.

I always pulled for DCaBB. Still in fact have some unfortunate hope in him. He can do it.

Ditto. I have always liked DCab and don't understand the nasty comments about him. He didn't make it. oh well. At the very least, he has accomplished something more than most of us did: made it to the major leagues and got to play a game we all love.

He also made a decent amount of money that should last him the rest of his life if he's smart with it.

Never understood the harsh comments about his attitude.

He and Sid Ponson. Two guys with talent that never had anything remotely resembling a head for the game or actually being able to pitch consistently. I don't feel sorry for either of them. They were both very lucky to get all the opportunities they got mainly at the Orioles expense!
