Moore to Norfolk SS, Davis to utility role

I hope I'm wrong, but I can't imagine a scenario where Moore is even close to average at SS.

It's not a bad idea to see what he can do at short... but I wouldn't expect much defensively.

That's basically his only strength.

Moore had he shown he could play SS could have been a bat you could use at 3B, 1B, SS and even the corner OF spots.

I fail to see how that's logical. To me it's more of a case of talent being clustered at the corners, and having to field a team at Norfolk. It's very rare for players to move rightward on the defensive spectrum, especially late in life (and in baseball terms 24-25 is late). It's very unlikely that Moore will be a decent middle infielder, and it's just as unlikely that Rhyne Hughes will be a left fielder who rises above the Pete Incaviglia level.

And it's particularly odd that they'd move the best defensive first baseman on the team (and maybe in the organization) to DH.

If this was Stratomatic or OOTP you'd just flip these guys to other organizations for players who play the positions you really need and none of this would happen. In the real world you sometimes have to deal with people playing out of position.
