I guess my problem with that is that the game is being played today. I don't get why they didn't play Scott and left and DH Reimold.

This I agree with. If they don't want him playing on the turf don't play him in the field. I don't know that Scott gets that ball either.

What I don't think we should be doing is lamenting the fact that Pie is a better defender than Nolan each time a all ball gets get to left tonight since it isn't Reimold's fault Pie isn't available.

Seriously. I remember last year Wiggington made some fantastic plays early on- but when he finally muffed one- the chatter was quick to follow.

I actually think he does. People don't realize it because he's not out there often, but Luke is above average on defense in left field. Career 7.4 UZR in left.

I think he does as well. While his defense is not great, its is still above average and underrated. I have always been happy with his defense.

Oh, of course. It was more of a statement of disappointment that Pie is hurt rather then derision of Reimold's defense.
