The six walks tied a career high for him, and the 128 pitches was a career high as well. I just watched the highlights...spectacular play by the CF in the 7th (?) as well. He made great adjustments as he went, and kept the velocity high.

The Padres have also never thrown a no-hitter, along with the Mets and Rays.

I'm shocked a Met has never thrown a no hitter. 128 pitches actually doesn't seem THAT bad! I wish I could see more NL baseball.

All 6 walks came in the first 5 innings. He wasn't dialed in and was having location issues. After coming out to the mound in the 6th and he threw entirely from the stretch. He retired the next 12 batters.
