I keep hearing Cabrera's name in the 2008 rotation so it's no surprise Mazzone would be leaving. Those two can't coexist on the same team and have success. I'm guessing the fact that he said we have no pitching talent didn't quite go over very well either. When you are a PC you shouldn't complain about how sour the lemonade is that you made from the lemons. I bet those pitchers loved to hear about how they weren't talented.

So, does that mean that Flanny is staying in the same role? I'm not so surprised about Crowley, due to the fact that he was in Minnesota with MacPhail.

I'm glad Flanny is staying. Don't want him making major decisions, but he's done a good job of focusing on building up the minor leagues. We look barren right now, but we've promoted a lot of guys to the majors in the past 2 seasons. I have no problem with him and Joe Jordan running the minor league side of things.

I'd prefer Crowley to be gone.

Another guy who was supposed to be the "savior" of the organization goes down in dust.

There is one problem with this team from which all other problems stem. The revolving door of FO personnel and coaches/managers will make no difference as long as Peter Angelos owns the team.
