Interesting note -- Oliveira's coach is Ed Sprague, Jr., whose father was the scout who brought Mike Mussina, Jeffrey Hammonds, Matt Riley and Brad Bergesen to the O's.

Yeah, this one looks like a catcher through and through. Unfortunately, I don't see many mentions of his bat so far.

It just hit me that he hasn't been around for a while and he was THE GUY that historically had been all over the draft selections. Hope he's doing well and just taking a break.

No... you are wrong. Since ex-catchers make the best managers, my guess is that the O's are going to sign one of these guys and immediately announce that he will be our next manager.

I'm not sure, but I remember hearing that Ohlman wasn't likely to stick at catcher, and I think Joseph has the athleticism to move off catcher if need be. Oliveira and Hornback look like pure catchers, but Sawyer will probably move should the O's sign him.
