I doubt it. That was just a beautifully placed hit by Suzuki. If anything, Miggi saved a double by snagging it as it bounced over the bag.

Yeah he definitely made a nice play to field it, not trying to take anything away from him there. I'm just wowed by his arm over there, so I tend to be curious when he throws the balls that bounce 3 or 4 times on there way over.

0-2 to Ellis, takes him 8 more pitches to finally get him to line out.

Give Ellis some credit, he fouled a bunch off, but you are never going to last in a game if you get 0-2 on guys and let them work you for a full count and 10 pitches with any regularity.

Another 18 pitches that inning. Matusz really is having trouble resolving ABs even when he has two strikes. Watching on Game Day, it seems they are fouling off his fastball at will. He's been throwing 88-90 mph almost all game, occasionally 91.
