Ridiculous. I'm not one to really cry about how unfair MLB can be, but it really is. And I don't care what the Yankees brass or anyone else says...their payroll is unlimited as far as I'm concerned.

Of course, it's magnified by how absolutely crappy we are. We're gonna have a tough time winning 60 games this year and the Yankees are just getting better and better.

Why wouldn't they go after him?

They spend the money on the draft and internationally, so they can recoup the prospects.

Haren is an ace level pitcher who is signed cheaply for the next few years and there is a good chance he will end up being worth a draft pick or 2 after the deal.
