Minnesota Twins: What's Good About Baseball

If I had to pick my second favorite team in baseball, it's slowly becoming the Minnesota Twins. Every season I find myself rooting for them because they do everything right. They've had incredible continuity with two managers over the last twenty some odd years. They've grown, developed, and kept their core past and present. They play sound, fundamental baseball, without any major personalities or visible public figures to speak of. To top it all off, they've finally left the doldrums of the Metrodome to play outdoor baseball in a gorgeous new ballpark, and have christened its inaugural season with a division championship, and the season isn't even over.

I really good watching the Twins, and I'm pulling for them the rest of the way.

Outdoors or not, they had to get out of the Metrodome. It was not a baseball park. There's a reason it's universally ranked as one of, if not the worst ballparks in baseball.

Yeah it will be cold come October, but I don't see the problem with it. They don't have domed stadiums in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, or any other Midwest city, and they've all had playoff and even World Series games played in the frigid elements of October baseball.

Honestly, I'd be more than happy to brave the elements to watch my team in the postseason if it meant I could actually be able to do it again.
