It's common for innings like this to just destroy a team for the rest of a series. If the Rangers don't come back to at least tie this game I predict they will not even win a game the rest of the ALDS.

I don't know about a sweep, yet, but I agree these things can snowball quickly. Texas has forgotten what the term " home field advantage" means but won three road games in TB. I think Lee will be the stopper in game 3, which is why I hope it won't be over in four.

No doubt. Just like the Twins, they hit CC around, get a solid lead and then blow it.

Texas lost that series in one inning yesterday.

I think the thing I hate most about the Yankees is that when they've got pressure on a pitcher like that, you just know they're gonna come through. Bases loaded, none out...for a lot of other teams they might blow it open and get all those runs across, but they might only get one or two and then screw themselves out of the inning on a double play or something.

But with the Yankees? Forget it. That inning was over with the bases loaded, none out and the Rangers up 5-1. No chance they screw themselves out of that inning.

At 6-5, they still had 1st and 2nd, none out, and didn't get anything else across. Granted the damage was done, but they didn't add on. Holland did a nice job.

Gardner's play was sheer hustle, and you can't begrudge him for that. Oliver walking Swisher and Teixeira in front of A Rod was brutal. The "new" A Rod comes through in those sitautions now, he just nailed that pitch.

Hope Texas can bounce back quick, win today, and take game 3 with Lee. No need to be all doom and gloom, Wilson still pitched his ass off, and I'll take my chances with him and Lee the rest of the series..assuming Texas can hit Hughes today.

Ron Washington's bullpen management in that 8th inning was ridiculous. When you use 4 relievers in one inning, you're doing something wrong. He used two relievers for one batter each, and replaced one lefty with another (Holland for Rapada) to face Thames, a guy who only hits left-handers. And at no point did he use his best reliever, Neftali Feliz.

He should've brought in Feliz when the bases were loaded with A-Rod at the plate and a 5-2 score. You need to shut down the rally right there.

Especially since his justification, that Feliz had not been placed in that situation this year, has been shown to be false.

Good to know he's probably going to win Manager of the Year.

I refuse to watch postseason games involving the Yankees unless they are on the brink of elimination. It just riles me up too much when crap like this happens.

I can watch it as long as they aren't on the verge of winning. It's still fun to root for them to lose. It was working well until last year when they kept getting knocked out. Thankfully the Rangers came back tonight so I can keep watching. Come on Cliff Lee.
