I am 99% sure the announcers are wrong. Spectator interference on a boundry play is subject to replay.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the announcers are going on about. Fan interference is ABSOLUTELY reviewable. Hell, that was one of the primary reasons for creating the instant replay system!

No, no - that was in reference to the Berkman foul ball initially called a home run.

Yeah I know. Bud Selig would be happy that his umps corrected one out of two calls, as long as one egregious error still went in the Yanks' favor. After all 50% is awesome in baseball!

I didn't hear.... but a graphic on the screen specifically said that fan interference on potential HRs was covered by the replay rule, as well as fair/foul HRs and in/out of the ballpark issues.

If that's the case then everyone involved should be fired, including Bud Selig. But, nothing will be said because it's the MFY.

BTW, I didn't see the initial play, I'm going off of replay. Did the fielder and Ron Washington come out to argue? If so, why in the world would either of them have left the field before either the play was reviewed or they were both ejected and forcibly removed by security?
