  1. That makes it make more sense. In all other scenarios besides "injury replacement for a couple of series," Stowers probably gets the call up instead.
  2. Yes, but just a one year. He'll be free again after the season.
  3. Sorry Roch, but I have a feeling that the only way we'll see McKenna again in an Orioles uniform is as an brief injury call up if an outfielder has a bad ankle twist or something and needs a short IL stint. And that's assuming that we don't decide to bring up Stowers instead. Which is likely, because if I recall correctly, Stowers is on the 40 man right now, and McKenna isn't. McKenna will be a free agent next year, and could potentially be a 4th/5th OF fit for many of the teams in the bottom third of the league... I'm sure he'll sign elsewhere to get a shot at an MLB roster, as he's not high enough on our depth chart anymore for any lengthy shot at ours.
  4. Going Saturday and was not thrilled to see Irvin pitching and that they are starting a lefty. Hopefully it'll be Dealing Irvin from his last start, and our guys will figure their guy out.
  5. Replay is crazy this year. That one angle proved safe pretty conclusively I thought... Gunnar's glove blocked the view of the foot as it was hitting the bag, but as Gunnar's glove cleared and hit the first few frames of tag, Adell's foot was already on the bag. Seems like a reasonable assumption that foot met the bag while blocked from camera view pre-tag, but because in those frames, the foot wasn't visible, they called it inconclusive. I guess if you have object permanency, you don't qualify to be a replay umpire.
  6. Hard to tell. Several angles looked safe, but they have a CSI-level proof standard this season.
  7. He doesn't matter. Two more outs, let's finish this.
  8. In some situations, you trade the potential to score multiple runs for a much higher percentage chance of scoring at least one run. This would feel like a situation that one could argue that this was that spot. That being said, you actually have to execute the sacrifice.
  9. Really hope he didn't hurt anything worthy of an IL stint...
  10. The Angels have an off day tomorrow, so they don't have to leave him in forever.
