There's no question my son is my best friend. He's a quiet, long-haired dude walking around the UD campus in Newark, DE and is about to declare as a Philosophy major. He's been through some stuff over the last few years. He tells me he really likes My Chemical Romance and starts recommending albums and songs. So, I listen. I discover they're considered "emo," which I honestly knew little about over the past what? two decades. Cuz I'm old. I start listening to 'Welcome to the Black Parade'. Pretty amazing for an old Zep head. I see why "kids" fell in love with the emo thing, and I guess they still are. Moral of the story: None. But listen to your kids and what they're listening to and learn something maybe. Worked for me. So, Welcome to the Black Parade currently.

18 guests are viewing game threads right now. I'm not judging, but if someone could explain I would be grateful. If people are loving the interaction and drama, awesome. I wonder if it's more like the government watching us or something. How can 18 people be reading our game threads? Somethings wrong.

I always wonder if some of our HO's have passed because there's always someone on the game threads, even though we haven't played for months. I'm picturing a skeleton in front of the screen somewhere in Antarctica.

Mike on the corner lost most of his ring finger and middle finger in an accident. For the first time in 13 years as neighbors I waived hello with those two fingers down. No intention whatsoever. WTF? How do you accidentally do that? I think I'm losing it.

Every now and then you toot a clear major note. I just did one, don't know what note it was, but it's the start of that song "Every body dance now". No lie, just sharing. Noone else in my life cares to hear this wonderful news

I think they're from the Chicago area. 70's band, underrated.

My great invention ideas: haircut and oil change while watching a minor league game at the ballpark; cool side of the pillow chemicals that guarantee a cool side every half hour; rent a puppy.

How come when a pitcher needs Tommy John surgery he always gets it done by a doctor other than Dr. John? Do they all work for Dr. John? I would want the best to do it. :thumbsup1:

Does this mean I'm about to enjoy my favorite team in a whole new way for the next decade? I feel dirty thinking that way.

I'm not trying to out girly you, but me watching the Zep guys cry while Heart does Stairway at the Kennedy Center Honors?

Wow, that's beautiful ScOtt. I was researching what a Mumford and Sons song meant and came upon the quote from some famous author about paying attention to what gets you emotional, because it's tapping into your god, something like that. The last part was because I was drunk

When you cry, pay attention to what made you cry, because that lets you know God is nigh. Other than that, life will f you in a heartbeat.

ScOtt, why do I care? I come here to see what you're listening to and I ask myself why? I think it's your honesty and willingness to put this out there for the Hangout. Any feelings about "Isn't It Time" by The Baby's?

My girlfriend didn't make it to college so she is now in cosmology school and working part-time at Hair Cuttery. Don't know what that has to do with space, but thought I'd share.
